Here is a slide show of my two birthday celebrations this past week. On my birthday they threw a dinner party for me at a restaurant on campus and got me a cake and a great t-shirt that everyone signed for a gift. I went to a karaoke place (aka KTV as they call it in China) on Saturday with a group and sang the night away! Had a wonderful time and everyone made me feel very special and at home. Missed celebrating with my friends and family in the US but who can say they had a birthday in China! Thanks for all your emails, facebook post and calls, it really meant a lot! xoxo Em

Glad to see you had a great birthday. We missed you being in New York for your birthday.
What a fun way to spend your birthday, we have to do some karaoke when you get home...it looks hilirious. I miss you Emily, but im eagerly awaiting our next phone call : )
